Drum Journey Community GatheringsCome join us once a month for an evening of exploration and personal awakening through the traditional practice of drum journeying. Drum journeying is an intrigual part of the practice of core shamanism from around the world. It is a practice that Michael Harner an anthropologist and core shamanism trainer for the Foundation for Shamanic Studies encourages all of us to do for the purpose of personal growth and healing. Theresa ChangingRivers May trained in basic level core shamanism in 1998 and member of First Peace Circles since 2011, will guide you through your own journey to explore the depth of who you are. The evening begins with an introduction on how to journey to meet your power animals and teachers or guides who are here to assist your growth on this earth walk. Theresa will also share the circle process called stringing beads to deepen our understanding of ourselves through learning from each others experiences as well. Bring a blanket and cushions to lay on and a scarf to cover eyes with for during your journey experience and also if you wish since this is a community building gathering, please bring an appetizer or snack to share.
Suggested donation $15. Please call 612-345-1537 to rsvp and reserve your place in the circle.
